• Custom Solutions - We offer one-of-a-kind designs with custom graphics and site layout for individuals, groups and businesses. Our goals include simplicity, ease of navigation, tasteful design, and fast loading pages that suit the rapid pace of today's internet users.

• Templates - We also now offer access to a large variety of website templates for do-it-yourselfers in need of a quick and easy design solution. Although we provide access to the purchase of templates, at this time Design By Joyce does not customize, modify or install templates for clients.

Although Design By Joyce is based in the Phoenix, Arizona area, we have successfully developed websites for clients in other areas of the country. We offer free initial consultations and assistance is just an email away!

I grew up in the midwest and realized early on I didn't want to stay and battle the snowy winters. I remained long enough to graduate from Ball State University then quickly headed west to Phoenix, Arizona, which has been home ever since. Arizona provided many new experiences such as backpacking, rafting down the Colorado River, hiking the Grand Canyon, visiting Indian Ruins and simply enjoying the beauty of the desert, mountains, and canyons which I love.

Employment for me has included investment banking, the telephone company, the airline industry including eight years with Hughes Airwest and Republic and then six years at America West Airlines, and part owner in three carwashes. I have been self-employed since 1993.

Circa 1999 I discovered an interest in computers, web design and computer graphics and taught myself basic web design starting with the book HTML for Dummies and moving on from there.

Soon after I enrolled in a class at Glendale Community College. I enjoyed being back in school so much that I stayed four years and completed the Web Developer Certificate. After working on hobby and club websites, I decided to convert my work into an actual business venture and officially founded Design By Joyce in 2003.

When I'm not working at my computer, I enjoy digital photography, hiking, mountain biking, sightseeing, cooking and creating healthy recipes, workouts at the gym, swimming, movies, walking our two rescued greyhounds, ice skating, watching American Chopper, shopping, trying out new restaurants and watching any design or fashion shows on HGTV.

I proudly completed Grand Canyon hikes in May 2006 and again in May 2007 to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and raised over $6400 for this great cause through Hike for Discovery. [view my slideshow on YouTube]
