The area attracts more than 170 species of birds, including rare hummingbirds, as well as golden eagles, hawks and woodpeckers. The hummingbirds begin arriving in late March and reach their peak population by mid August. Most leave before October. After receiving many emails with questions about Ramsey Canyon (from as far away as France), I decided to keep the pages public, hoping the content might be helpful to visitors.
